Encouraging people to explore new horizons

Macs-4- U has evolved from the business WebEquip, set up in 2000 by Charles Taylor, which was set up to teach people about the internet and the worldwide web.

While working in this exciting and challenging environment, Charles found that Apple computers, the computers he had often used while teaching high school and university students, were the most reliable and user friendly.

He began purchasing used Apple Macs at auctions so that he could provide inexpensive computers for his customers. Within six months, he had set up the Macs-4-U store to focus on Apple products.

Charles describes himself as an enthusiast turned entrepreneur who believes Apple products are the best available.

All of the team at Macs-4-U love to see people being empowered to make full use of their computers and iPads, and thoroughly enjoy using them for work and play.

We seek to make Macs-4-U a comfortable place to explore technology. We are constantly learning ourselves, because we are genuinely interested in how technology can make our lives easier and more fun and we hope our enthusiasm catches on!

Our Guiding Principles

We aim to provide a fair and equitable pricing structure for both ourselves and our customers. This is why we provide fixed quotes whenever possible and offer a six-month repair warranty.

Our guiding principles help us best serve our customers and our community:

  1. To provide a secure and trustworthy environment for people to explore both Apple computer ownership and the safe use of the internet.

  2. To explore new materials and software as it becomes available, so we are equipped to offer our customers sound advice when they are also exploring.

  3. To provide a training regime for those customers who require specific knowledge.

  4. To ensure that everyone who leaves our shop, leaves with a smile on their face, knowing we will do our best to help them solve their problems.
